how to install the Steering wheel (Wood Trim)

My Ride: My Ride: E60 523i 2006
Exterior: Titanium gray / 19" (8.5) star spoke 128 wheels tire size (245/35) ///M5 Kit.
Interior: Beige Dakota Leather with Dark Poplar Wood Trim
Equipment: Xenon Headlights / Bluetooth / i pod / Sunroof / Rear blinds / PDC.
Hi, I want to change my steering wheel Trim from the (Black Plastic Trim) to the wooden Trim, and also the gear, I want to change it from the silver trim to the wooden trim, can any buddy help me, and show me how can i Do It My Self ?

You need to remove the airbag to get acess the trim acess.

Regarding to the shifter, BMW has a wooden one that you can buy and replace the stock one by pulling the shifter up (very hard). Then you insert and push the wooden shifter back in.

I am going ot the dealer today to complete the sterring wheel trim piece upgrade. I will find out the colors of the wood...wish me luck. SO the trim is easy to replace for a not to handy guy? thanks
