For the filter/pan, ZF brand pan/gasket/seal ring is available for around $170. BECK/ARNEY brand pan/filter/gasket/seal ring for around $99.
Anyone used BECK/ARNEY brand? Would you recommend this product?

For the trans fluid, Pentosin is around $15 per Ltr, Shell-M is around $27 per Ltr. Any reason why I shouldn't use Pentosin?
Most people use Pentosin including me. I have not changed the filter/pan yet, I will do that when car reach around 100k miles. I will go for ZF band instead of BECK/ARNEY; just for peace of mind.

Well just did control arms etc.. and now Trans pan is Super wet dont you hate that lol So I have an appointment to verify if this service is needed from an Independent shop or if its something else causing. I have ordered the Motorcraft Mercon SP after reading all threads and google. Its on my dime so I am going to use less dimes on fluid and more dimes towards parts and labor. Less than 5 bucks is awesome! Great write up

is it possible to overfill the transmission oil and cause damage to gearbox or any of its affiliated systems that run on ATF??

also, would not having sufficient oil in the trans be the/a cause for vehicle not shifting into gear?

There is a dipstick? And possibly yes low could effect shifting. Have it checked.

On a side note the Fabled Mercon SP is here! I feel like a rebel. The pan kit should be here today for installation on Saturday! For anyone who would like to see data sheets for comparisons of Mercon SP, Royal Purple ATF, Ams Oil to Pentosin/ZFlifeguard6 hit me up
