Do you guys know how easy it is to take these trim pieces on or off? EXTREMELY easy they just snap off! Save you a lot of tape, maybe save you some work on possible overspray too. I'm SURE it will save you time to take them off. lol

Guys I ran into all sorts of problems doing the one inch of overspray way. Sometimes it peeled perfectly at the chrome. Sometimes I had to run a razor where the chrome met rubber. Then the rubber would move back revealing a line. Touching up by can was hard. Love the look. But hate the DIY look of it. Going to rip it off and try again. Anyway to avoid the orange peel look? Rims didn't have this problem.

Also, there is realistically three different lines you could end at. Which do you use?

Do you spray the chrome, the two mm rubber line, and the thicker rubber seal?

Chrome alone?

Chrome and 2mm rubber?

I tied to do just chrome and my desire for precision lead to poor outcome. Cutting at the chrome edge lead to chrome peeking though. Trying to fish out that 2mm rubber was hard as hell too.

Is best advice to spray all three?

Dipyourcar's video never mentioned this and just said to find edge and pull. A lot if time it starts at one and can jump to a lower one.

Got two more cans of black and a can if glossifier. Going to pull it all off and try again.

Do you think I should tape all the way to the rubber and spray all three equally? Will the rubber bond with the dip?

Anyone use some level of gloss? I did the rims in two coats and it was more satin.
