No problem. I'll take pictures and write up a DYI My car is a 2006 525 but i'm sure it'll work for the newer cars as well.

The H3 would melt the plastic housing because of the length of the base. I used the H11 and file down the plastics a little. The plastic on the base is long enough to fit the housing of the reverse socket with the actual bulb sticking out instead of sitting in the housing. . Then I solder two wires on the Negative and Positive on where the reverse is getting it?s power to the bulb. Ran that wire through the back and solder it to the housing of the bulb. Tuck the bulb inside the metal frame with a bracket. The bulb is hidden behind the covers and not touching anything. Next I used a relay harness, connected it to the battery which was convenient.

Then installed the slim ballast. I got the relay trigger from the light closer to the battery. If you?re not going to install a switch where you can turn it on and off while driving, you don?t need a diode but if you?re going to install a separate switch, you must install a diode because the computer will think the car?s in reverse when you hit the switch.. As you know, diodes feeds power one way so there will be no feedback in the car?s reverse system. I?m horrible at writing DIY . I?ll attach some pictures. It?s so neat you?ll never think it?s an aftermarket install

Here's a picture with the bulb sitting in the housing as you can see I filed the sides of the H11 bulb to fit the socket. The original factory sockets were not touched. The silicone is just there to keep the bulb from moving. The original halogen bulb on the driver side is hidden between the metal frames not touching anything. The wires from the passenger side were used to trigger the relay harness and continue to the bulb which is also again tucked in the metal frame, away from anything. The bulbs are there just to trick the computer into thinking there?s a bulb. The relay pulls the power direct from the battery to supply the Ballast which is triggered from the reverse light. Hope this makes sense
