Pearlescent paint. go to your local car shop and they can do it for you and you can pick the shade.
takes like 4 hours and costs about 100$
or other people have been going witht the tint overlay route, just so they can remove it later.
but IMHO it doesn't look at good.

That looks more like you want to get the INSIDE of the headlight blacked out. I wouldn't do it, it would mean opening the headlight and breaking all the seals in the process. Very hard to make them water tight again after that. Would look cool though.

Anyone have pics of the tint overlay on their car? I've seen some pretty inexpesive pre-cut pieces on the internet. If it looks pretty good and is removable, I might take the risk of doing it myself. If nothing else, I'd like to have some better protection over the lense. My last set looked very oxidized on the outside of the lense. I just had new ones put im and would like to have a preventative measure.

its a joey mod
stick the headlight in the oven, let the seal melt...pry apart, spray with plastidip or sand and paint high heat paint...put the headlights back in the oven for a few minutes, let the seal get gooey again, add some more sealant if you feel its not enough and press and clamp together...let it sit overnight and voila!
