I would check with the employee first if it's OK to send a card to the manager. What if he gets yelled at for doing this for free? Otherwise, it was a very nice gesture and it should be acknowledged.
Excellent point. Here is how I handle a "returned favor" to someone at a dealership. I ask to see the service mgr and walk him out to my car. As I open the door, I tell him/her in a terse voice that his people need to stop leaving _hit in my car. I then point to the case of cokes, box of donuts, or containers of ice cream. Manager gets very relieved, and we all have a laugh. Certainly, the complement the tech or person involved.

You are right. Be very vague as to why you are so happy with a free service.

Life is a two way street.

My apology guys, I was confused myself between saturday and sunday. that happened on saturday. Yes! BMW never opens on SUNDAY
( I was trying to fix my post but couldn't find the option to)

Well, I brought the person cup of a coffee;;; instead of sending a card; he liked the coffee tho .

anyways I learned my lesson here.. we can go to the BMW centers and always ask them a favor with a full of civil manner..and who knows?

if they will do it for free ?

You bought him a coffee? You mean the dealership didn't have a free machine?

I thought about that too! But I never saw them drinking coffee from their machine.. and so I got him one from STARBUCKS!
