what a strange service from dealership...

about a week ago I posted regarding deactivating the daytime running light.... and found out that bmw dealership charges $149 for the job...
Well,, I went to the dealership today I was boring and I needed to kill my time
; and got a chance to talk to the person (I don't know if he was tech or sales) .
So I was mentioning about turning off the DRL and guess what happened. He just turned it off for me without charging any money! (HOORAY
)
Is it because I was lucky? that was really unexpected .

that was really unexpected .you can turn of daytime running light through settings on IDrive... so dont get too excited... anyone can change this if they have settings on Idrive under lighting.

+1 for this! We are all overlooked as employees sometimes. A card will allow a manager to see that this person is doing the right thing for customers. It could be all it takes for him to get a bonus or a raise this year. Besides, we are real quick to complain but nowhere near as quick to praise.

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
I would check with the employee first if it's OK to send a card to the manager. What if he gets yelled at for doing this for free? Otherwise, it was a very nice gesture and it should be acknowledged.
