on my car (530) the front and rear tires are same size.

There is usually an arrow with the word "rotation" near it to indicate the direction the tire needs to spin when the car is going forward...

I experienced tire roar also with Dunlops at 6500 miles. After going through this forum, I was convinced that this was a Dunlop tire design issue and my dealer got BMWNA to replace all 4 tires at no charge. While I was getting my tires changed, I asked my service advisor why BMW kept using Dunlops as one of their sources for tires on the 5 series. He responded by saying that BMW has actually taken this issue to Dunlop with all the complaints that are going on but Dunlop has been in denial that this is an issue with the tire. They are indicating that BMW has not shown enough proof that there is a problem with the design of the tire. Go figure.
