Yes, on the LCI cars, in countries where they're not mandatory, you can select the DRL mode yourself.

charge that darn go bizzilion mega pixel digital camera that you bought over Christmas .....and take some picture for us.... well I am assuming you did buy one lol
I have bought one, but I'm waiting for delivery. Only 10 days to go. That why I am asking what I should get the dealer to do before I pick it up.

I'm in the UK and the daytime driving lights can be set up through I drive with a simple flick of the switch - they do not come switched on so you have to activate them yourself if your in the UK.

Got my e60 last week and it's great.... already racked up 1400 miles in the baby

The auto lights option is also great - never switch it off. It gives you auto daytime driving lights, switches to night lights and when you get out of the car you don't get any annoying bing bong noises to remind you to turn the lights off and then when you lock the car the beautiful BMW switches them off for you - meaning you can just leave them switched on

This may sound so so lazy but I love it because I always used to forget to turn my lights off in my Audi and get so annoyed with the bing bong noise when you opened the door and left the lights on - not anymore as now I have a clever car that does it for me
