they need to update the latest sw in order to activate the bluetooth. if they tell you they have to charge you both sw update and bt activation, they are bsing you. just go to another dealer. bt activation won't cost you more than 2 hours labor which is around $200-250. btw, if you tell them something wrong with your idrive, they have to update the sw. and if your dealer is nice enough, they won't charge you a penny for activating bt. good luck .
