I just picked up my '04 545i, still in warranty. Had it checked out by a local dealer, and it was perfect. Unfortunately, this dealer left a very bad taste in my mouth. I asked about Bluetooth capability, and was initially told "yeah, it should just work". Checked the iDrive menus, no BT specific menus available.
The SA got a tech to look at it, and he said the car needed the BT upgrade, and it would take 4-5 hours to do it (uh, what?!?!). That, and he also stated that it may not even work, but the only way is to try it and see! How's that for a good first step with a new customer? I've read elsewhere in this forum of dealers doing this for only 1/2 hour of labor, and sometimes even free. I'd think if the guy wanted me to come back, he'd have just done it for me. I really hope this isn't an indicator of what is to come in dealing with these guys.
Does anyone in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area have a dealer and SA they trust that they can recommend? I don't have patience for these games.

I got my car at Chapman and just get my car serviced there. But I wouldn't recommend them, takes them two or three trips to the dealer to fix things. I wish they would just keep the car until its done.
I have heard good things about BMW of North Scottdale. I have been thinking about taking my business to them next time, see how they do things.
They are on N. Scottsdale Rd. off the 101 Fwy.

I guess that leaves only one option - North Scottsdale. I'll post here if I end up talking with them.
