eyebrows (amber stripe) and drls, they havent worked since i picked up car i july. i have '06 where the drls are the lamps next to the headlights. they told me something was wrong with the lamps, malfunction in the circuits or something. how could both lamps be short circuited??? its bull if you ask me
Why would you buy a car that had something wrong with it?
I would check to see if CPO covers it. Did you buy it from a BMW dealer?

Eyebrows should work regardless.....drl's have to be activated. My SA told me they usually charge an hr labor to do this...but they did mine for free....took like 5 mins
Don't know about the DRLs but my eyebrows did not work before I took my car for the MP3 activation (Under Warranty). They did the MP3 + so did the whole CCC upgrade to the latest version (back in Oct 08). When I took it home, I noticed the eyebrows now lid up amber. Come to find out that eyebrows need to be activated by software. Now I have the eyebrows and drls working.
If you search there are few posts about eyebrows activation topic.
I think your dealer is just trying to jurk you around and not want to do the upgrade/activation for free. Try another more reliable dealer.
Good Luck.

I understand that the lighting problem wasn't noticed because you took possession of the car in the daytime. BUT, did you notify the dealership about the light problem immediately upon discovering it? That car should NEVER have made to CPO if a safety item was defective at or immediately after sale.
If however, you didn't bring it to their attention for several months they may have a legitimate reason to deny a claim.
Your CPO coverage specifies items not covered. http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/CPO...NotCovered.aspx Most "electronics" are NOT covered by CPO once the factory warranty expires.

well got my car back with some of the same problems and some problems fixed....
vibration still in car, they replaced the cam sensors which prob needed to be replaced but did not fix the vibration issue, i think its a bad idle motor
fixed cig lighter (which i asked them not to cause it wasnt under warranty) but they didnt charge me for labor (only bulb, $3.60)
i have to go back for the fan blower which is making noise when car is cold, fully covered no prob there
eyebrows dont work, drl's dont work. they said the headlamps are malfunctioning and quoted me a price for a new set of headlamps, $3400, crooks. told them no i dont want new lamps and that i will speak to them when i return to have the blower replaced. first, they tried to say that i altered the lamps and thats why they are not under warranty. i argued the fact that they werent altered besides bulb replacement. he came back to me and said that i was right but they were concerned about the stickers on the side of the lamp covering the amber relector, they didnt know if it was a BMW part or aftermarket.... thats right, they couldnt tell if they were OEM because i have euro-stickers on the lamps
anyway, im gonna argue some more when i go back for the blower replacement and bring the cpo warranty terms with me. hopefully it will help.
