Do you guys think that maybe BMW is scheduling re-deliveries based on the drop off to re-delivery time? That way everyone would have about the same amount of total wait & transit time. If Beewang got his car in 57 days, but went through the VPC in record time, maybe it was because his car spent a lot of time waiting to get on a ship out of Bremerhaven or the ship got delayed. When did you drop off your cars? I dropped off my 545 on 11/22. It came in on the Hojin around 12/4 (was supposed be here 12/1), cleared customs & ag inspection on 12/7. My SA says it is at the VPC now with delivery any day. Saturday will be 57 days for me and I'm hopeful that will be it. The wait has been worse than expected. When I first got into this I thought I would handle it a lot better.

I am at 54 days today as I dropped off on 10/20; however, I intentionally dropped my car off at Bremerhaven Port in order to minimize the transit days. I assume you meant to write 10/22 drop off, not 11/22. Beewang dropped his off in Frankfort, so he had to wait for someone else to take his up to Bremerhaven. I think he got SUPER lucky to get his before they decided to go to sleep at the VPC. I doubt they try to shoot for a certain number of days. I think they are backed up and understaffed to handle the current overload. Unfortunately, we are paying the price....yes I'm still bitter.

Yes, my bad. 10/22 not 11/22. 11/22 would require a really fast ship or more likely a plane!

Yes, I dropped my car off in Munich on 10/21 so the Bremerhaven thing didn't help you much! I think Customs and Ag are the main problem, but it is frustrating not knowing when to expect the car. Two months is a long time to be without! I wonder if its worse waiting for first delivery here? We all seem to be European delivery. I still have no information from the SA, and I know they would tell me if they knew. If yoiu haven't seen the web site about the VPC go look! http://www.autospies.com/article/index.asp...24&categoryId=1

I hope you get your cars this week.

I dropped off my 545i in Munich on Oct 14, and my SA has now received a copy of the work order that says it will be released by the VPC on Thursday, Dec 16, i.e. 9 weeks later (the quoted time is 6 to 8 weeks). It will probably reach Santa Ana on Thursday or Friday.

I must be behind SveaRike at the VPC.
