Litster, yes that's an option, but that would leave me without a spare while running regular tires. There is no spare with run flat tires. Although I can't remember the last time I had a flat, I wouldn't want to tempt fate. It would be just my luck...

Of all the E60 wheel options, I like those on the 545 sport the best. However, they still aren't knockout gorgeous. Depending what is available in aftermarket run flat wheels, I may mount my winter tires on the stock wheels and transfer the summer tires to the aftermarket ones.

Spoke to dealer today and was advised my order needs be in by friday this week for 530 sept build oct delivery in US. Claims BMW will shut down plant in August and therefore they need to order car early. I am not buying the reasoning. Dealer claims to have 4 530's avail to order in Sept and 8 525's 2 545's.

Also noticed a post on bimmerfest from a dealer stating that lumbar support will not be avail on release and Active Seats (already aware of HUD and Nav). Anyone know what Active seats means? they talking about active headrests?

Will a stike have a bearing on production or this just effect 3 series?

From my copy of the order guide, it says "Spare is a space-saver wheel and tire." You can see the scan here at http://e60.doit.wisc.edu/releases/brochure...ges/Image0.html. It is at the bottom of the page.

Litster, I stand corrected! I thought I had read somewhere that the E60 with run flats would have no sapre thereby increasing trunk space. This opens some possibilities for mounted winter tires.

Thanks...

Congrats, Scork!

Did you consider Active Cruise Control and Parking Assist? I don't think I want Active Cruise Control (I think regular cruise is standard, but not sure). But I think I will get Parking Assist.

Cool

Hi All

I am really considering the E60 (even though I am not too crazy about the design) but I will wait for the 535 to come out. I will most likely go Black with Cinnamon Leather, Sport package and nav. Even with all the criticism I always liked the New 7 series.

Has anyone ordered yet? What are your options, exterior and interior colors, and estimated delivery date?
I put my deposit on my car last month. Last week the US dealers recieved their allocations and dealer info for the new 5 series. They called me up and I came in this weekend and placed my order. I choose all my options, engine, etc. I choose the HUD, Navigation, Adaptive Headlights, Premium Sound, Premium Interior, and Satalite Radio, etc. It's gonna cost me around $50,000. I choose the 530i with Steptronics. The expected arrival date at the dealership is November 1st. The dealer had an ordering guide that was pretty much a brochure. But I already had a brochure anyways. Reply, if anyone has any questions.

My understanding is HUD and navi are not avail at this time most likely avail early next year. Did your dealer address this issue? Also Lumbar support, active seats are not avail
