What's an Infinity anyway? Is that a Nissan sub-brand?
Looks very, eh, cheap. IMO.

but no... its doesnt look cheap... it actually looks really decent to me. More appealing to me than the Acura RL but I heard people say the RL drives better... I have yet to try...

[/quote]Having driven the M45 and the Acura RL I have to say I MUCH prefer the RL. Handling is far superior IMO, and the interior is much better laid out and more luxurious (quality of materials is much higher in the Acura). The extra horsepower in the M45 are nice, however.
Having said all this, I will likely get the 545i instead (purchase in April or May, I imagine) - unless I get the 750 and ignore the snide commentary from my family and friends. The 7er would signal serious midlife crisis to most of those people.
It will be interesting to see what you think, EBMC, after driving the RL. Let us know how you think it compares to the M45. Just don't expect the acceleration to be there, because it isn't.

I have been given another 530D loaner while mine without active steering is in the shop. I noticed after driving for a few days that there was an indicator symbol that came on on startup and the manual said that it was the active steering check.
If not for this light I would not have any idea that the car had this option.
Steering feels the same as in my car regardless of driving conditions.
Am I missing something here or is this option really worth the money?

For - Very easy to steer with knees whilst attending to childrens needs.
Against - Over rough surfaces car steers itself as if white-lining, its probably the run-flats but the AS doesn't help.
