I have just recieved my car back from a week long stint at the shop, and upon return for:

List:

Factory recall for seat heater
Steering wheel cover pealing
Thump in the front end
howl when turning the steering wheel in either direction
rough idile and a stumble
possible bluetooth retro
possible nav retro
rear parcel shelf rattle and squeeks
repaint passengers door seal bad paint job from dealers mistake
and now the radio skipping problem

damn car will be in the shop for weeks looks like

soulution:
1. replaced seat heater wire, but now the top of the drivers seat is mangled have to take back and show my S.A.
2. replaced steering wheel, looks and feels thicker and i can no longer see and feel the heater element through the leather
3. could not duplicate, looking at the repair sheet same start time and finish time
4. could not duplicate, must have been fixed when they replaced the wheel
5. could not duplicate, one of things i guess
6. cant be retro for my 8/03 build, printed out the Sans retro and gave it to my S.A. will see what gives next week
7. can not be retro for my vehical, is this true? i thought it could with a lot of work and money
8. could not duplicate, but i dont hear any more squeeking or rattling
9. need to go back for this not enough time
10. could not duplicate same time on the work order did not let it heat up started skipping on the way home not really a skip it sound more like a buffer underrun

Well that was only a week and a day but when i get a good loaner it does not matter had an x3 2004. By the way x3 is a very nice car/truck rides great fast as all get out and the sunroof works with the key off as does the cig lighter works without the key in the ignition it may even play mp3 but i did not get to check this out?

I can't hear the "cannot duplicate" from my dealer anymore.
THEY CAN NEVER DUPLICATE ANYTHING....
Seems to be the most conveniant solution for them.

"cannot duplicate" is as bad as "no fault/problem found". but it's the most common phrase we see on the invoice...only if the problems are under warranty. if the warranty expired, i can almost guarantee they can find/create all the problems that we don't even notice .

Yep, and then all of a sudden we can't duplicate the signature on the check...
