I was doing my own thing on the highway a couple of nights ago, when suddenly over my rearview I saw these 2 blips of xenons fast approaching.
Before I know, those 2 blips became 4! Boogies on my 3 & 9 o'clock pulling away. I recognize they were G35 and I350 on the run, Both rather new.
Quickly I took on action as I was getting bored with Madonna. 6th gear jumps to quad, I gun my 530 to the reds. Suddenly they weren't dusting me as fast but I am catching up to them instead.
I passed them both and quickly overdrive back to normal.
These pinicale of technologies from the land of the rising sun caught me up again, paddle to the metal and exhaust screaming away.
i just let them get ahead by half a car length or so, I switched DSC off then 4th again and another 3rd pass redline, this time I really gun it all the way to 65k on 5th. By the time I am going 220kph, I was way out pass the bend.
Did they either decided to 'chicken'? or is it because of my manuel tranny? Or maybe even that I350 is actually an I250? Or are those brand new babies have not been run in to full potential?

I did not expect to outrun these 2 by that much of a margin.
I find this very very odd.

Anyone care to enlighten me on these J-rockets? I think theyshould be faster cause they are lighter? More powerful bhp?

Thought to share a little story on this rainy afternoon, still bored with Madonna....

Every time somebody on a messageboard posts about how the dusted some other car.... I think the truth behiond it is actually that the other drivers simply did not have the balls to drive as fast.

I, for one, have not taken my 545i any faster than about 115 mph. Certainly my car can go faster than that, but if someone was racing me and they went past 120 mph... they would take me.

So.... I don't think these stories have much to do with actual performance. Its just differences in drivers, I think.

hummm sounds odd... but it was at high speed... japanese dont have much gut in high speed runs.... off the line from a stand still the G35 and IS 350 I think will give a 545 a run for its money.

When it comes to speeding usually my hard base-ball becomes soft-balls. EIther I get scared of a speeding tickets or I just dont trust my driving skill!
