I test drove the XF supercharged and was very, very impressed. I will give it serious consideration when I purchase my next car. In brief, the XFR is ~$77K which is about the same as a loaded 550. It gets comparable gas milage with ~M5 performance. The interior was far superior to my current 550. The current Road and Track long term test showed no electrical gremlins. I am sceptical of the long term reliablity given Jaguar's history but the car felt great and really gets up and runs.

Not sure if you know David but there's an XF Supercharged and an XFR. Two different motors with the XFR being north of 500hp to compete with the M5. Maybe you just raced the XF Supercharged which is arounf 400hp or so.

The early XF Supercharged was 420 bhp. The current one is now 470 bhp -- just 40 shy of the XFR. F10 550 won't be able to keep pace with that from a stoplight.
