Anyone!????

Bruce - you got yours yet???

I am waiting for someone to confirm it works with professional sat nav and then i'll go grab one too
Tomorrow I get the phone. Next week I'm getting CIP 23.x. One way or another I'll post my experience with this.

This was not destined to happen.
My P990i arrived today and out of the box had firmware R4B001 on it which I knew was not the latest. So I attempted to upgrade the firmware to what I considered the latest to be R7A001. However in the update process the phone was recognised to be a Dutch model and in NL they have been allowed access to only R5A006.
Can't believe that the people in NL have been deprived of this firmware especially since the next R9A is just around the corner. So in other words R5A006 was all I could have. As reported earlier the phone pairs but then doesn't connect at all. I think it's just a matter of time before this does work because the profiles are all there etc.
Needless to say this is useless to me and went back by the evening's post. So until I can lay my hand on a Generic SE World model my search for a good PDA phone that works on my car continues.

I am a 910i fan with the same problems as Bruce. I had the same issue mentioned previously of not being able to answer calls, and then it finally died completely when "incompatibility" trashed the phone software.

I currently use Orange 'single number' and a 6230i for the car.

I was hoping the 990 would allow me to back to one phone but apparently not.
