The same applies to the proper snap-in adaptors that sit in the arm-rest. I don't really want something sitting over the air-vents when it can sit in the arm-rest and utilise the external attenna also.

Surely there must be a proper snap-in adaptor available for the E71 by now? The snap-in adaptors that I purchase for previous phones appear to be manufactured by a firm called PEIKER Acustic Gmbh.

Who can we petition to produce a proper snap-in adaptor for the Nokia E71?
Exactly, there must be some customer care email/phone number we can contact to at least make them aware of some demand for a proper E71 cradle. As the poster above, I don't want a third party add on to the dash.

Try the BMWUK or BMWgmbh email/telephone contact numbers ? I contacted BMWUK a couple of years back on this topic. The impact was not great, however if you do not feedback comment/opinion there is no chance that any organisation will know what the market is telling them.

By the way the response on the adapter model limitation at the time was they have little say in this area as a marketing group. The point here is market demand should be the key factor so shout loudly at them!

This situation is ironic as the 5/7 series are major ?business use? vehicle's and the relative lack of business cell phone adapters is a failure of BMW in focusing features/functions to their markets. Adapter availability will be tied to popularity - mainly for the US market IMO they were quick to establish the 5 series with the iPhone (not a business tool IMO) band wagon and produce an adapter yet they?ve been very slow to accommodate Blackberrys, the 8100/8300 being their only attempt to-date - a strange decision and a major failure IMO as most of the colleagues/contacts that I meet within the US/UK/Europe use Blackberry?s and many drive 5 or 7 series cars..........

Looks like the letest bluetooth info from BMW now includes a Snap In adaptor for the E71. Haven't managed to find a part number yet though.

The Nokia E71 snap in adapter part no. is 84 21 2 155 175.

Ironic that the adapter is being made available now, this as Nokia are about to release the replacement model, the E72! ? Up to speed as usual BMW are they not!

I will first try unplugging my adapter from the USB hub I just bought and replug it directly into the PCs USB port.
