Thanks.

Looks like I'm answering my own question... the answer for now is NO.

Attached is something I got off the BMW site.

Still, if anyone knows or hears of developments, I hope they'll be able to share it here.

Is there an update to this yet? Maybe to include a snap-in adaptor for the Nokai E71? Seeing as the latest Nokia software update for the Nokia E71 (v200.21.118) now solves the problems with accessing the phonebook through iDrive a snap-in adaptor would be nice...

Hi,

the latest update is 12/2008 and unfortunately E71 snap-in-adapter is not included there

I am also looking for it...

Me too.

Is there an email address in BMW where we could at least make them aware of the demand for the E71 adaptor?

I have good news for you!
Wait I'll make a thread about it! Only that my phone is 6110 Navigator, but I'm quite sure there is a holder for E71 too .

Ok, so where's this new thread?

Why not just post what good news you have in this thread?

Yeah sorry. I made another thread because I had earlier promised to do that.
However, I managed to post it accidentally on the wrong section, here's the link.

Please notice it is for 6110 Navigator, but following the links to the manufacturer's site I'm pretty sure you'll find a holder for E71 too.

Here is another model of Brodit clip and Nokia cradle... E71 differs from many other phone models since in the bottom there is only power connection and the usb port is in the side of the phone, so I don't think any "BMW" cradle will be available... Works quite well with the BT although... Nice thing with Brodit is that you can always remove it without any marks.

The same applies to the proper snap-in adaptors that sit in the arm-rest. I don't really want something sitting over the air-vents when it can sit in the arm-rest and utilise the external attenna also.

Surely there must be a proper snap-in adaptor available for the E71 by now? The snap-in adaptors that I purchase for previous phones appear to be manufactured by a firm called PEIKER Acustic Gmbh.

Who can we petition to produce a proper snap-in adaptor for the Nokia E71?
