My car is in the shop as I type and has been since last Thursday, Sa just called to tell me that they have to hook it up to the big computer to upgrade, as it has crashed once already while trying to upgrade to 16.2. What do you guys think are my chances that the tcu will not accept the programming and have to be replaced with the newer one that supports Bluetooth?

 

Not that I wish you (and your baby) any ill will, I pray that your upgrade fails and you have to get a bluetooth enabled TCU. If so, please let us know. I'd love to 'force' my service advisor into the upgrade and end up having a newer TCU!

What is the production date when the bluetooth tcu was first used? I can never remember.

 

Around March of 04. The issue is mine is a March 04 build, but it was early in March. Another guy in ATL has a build the same week, and his was upgradeable...

Guys no word as of yet, I a going to the dealership in the morning to do the drive around. I hope no news is bad news as i just brought a Nokia 6255i today in hopes that i have it when i pick up my car. My car was a Sept. 03 build so i have nothing. This one thing would be a great asset to a sparce but great car.
