Tuner Battle: BMW 335i versus Cadillac ATS

Motor Trend prefers the stock Cadillac ATS chassis over the stock BMW 335i chassis, but what about the tuner versions?

Present for battle is a BMW 335i with the M3 performance kit, which is an upgrade you can buy from the dealer. The M3 kit offers a higher-flow air box, more turbo boost via an ECU reflash, bigger brakes, black kidney grilles and carbon-fiber-capped wing mirrors. European Car Magazine added other mods such as Borla catback exhaust, Bilstein adjustable coilovers, and 20-inch HREs wrapped in Nitto Invos. Across enemy lines is the D3-tuned Cadillac ATS 3.6. D3 was less intense with their modifications: an ECU reflash, axle-back exhaust, D3 coilovers and rotary-forged TSW wheels are all that separate this ATS from stock.
