Evo Drives the BMW i8

Leading up to its Frankfurt debut next month, we’ve been getting the lion’s share of i8 sneak peeks. BMW is probably endowing us with prototype tests to keep naysayers at bay. There are many who doubt a car like this could be any good, but as we said in our initial BMW i8 first drive post, “the more you learn about this car, the more you’ll like it.”

Performance and price-wise, the BMW i8 will compete with the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. In terms of fuel efficiency, it will will annihilate the 911 with an EU-cycle 95 mpg combined. Mouthwatering fuel economy from a 155-mph sports car that can hit 60 mph in 4.5 seconds? Sign us up.
