BMW Considers Building Cars in Mexico

According to Automotive News, BMW has entered talks with Mexican officials regarding the possibility of building an assembly plant in Mexico. However, BMW will not commit to such a move until there is a free-trade agreement between the United States and Europe, which would enable them to expand their North American manufacturing capabilities. In terms of a timeline, it may be ten years before we see any BMWs built in Mexico.
