My Ride: BMW F10 520d 2010
Model Year: 2010
Engine: N47
Hi from Northern Ireland
Hi all,
I am Dennis and own a 2010 F10 520d in black.
Lovely car and even took it from Bangor NI to Gothenburg Sweden 2 weeks ago, and was such a relaxing drive.
The drive was over Dublin ferry to France Cherbourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany in to Denmark and "the Bridge" in to Sweden.
Having some weird issues with the iDrive made me decide to join the forum.
I have owned lots of BMWs in the past from E3, E10, E12, E28, E30 and E82, and now the F10.
Also owned other cars.
This 520d had the chain already done with 100.000 mls, so that was a safe purchase to begin with, but had a front and rear coil spring broken.
I was able to buy a set from Vogtland 30mm Club Lowering Suspension Kit bought at Demon Tweeks for a bargain actually.
The set is not stone hard, gives good comfort while approx 1 inch lower.
Also bought 4 Michelin E tires on original 17" wheels, as 18" 19" or even 20" rims is in my opinion only for the eye and not for the drive, as the roads here most certainly give me a bill every month to redo the wheels to showroom spec, lol.
