Starting with my personal favorite BMW body, an E39 Touring, this build took on a whole new life with a GM-sourced 7-liter all-aluminum LS V8.

This rare 1980 BMW 735i Touring prototype — originally shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show — was here in the States for a number of years, spending most of that time in New England. But since then, it has all but vanished.
