Hey John,

Are you sure the lowbeam bulbs are D1S? The front of my Xenon says D2S. My car is '07 530i pre-LCI. I'm planning to buy 2 pairs (1 pair for my wife's X5, which also says D2S). What's the diff between D1S and D2S?

Big difference in D1S and D2S. Not interchangable. The D1S has a built-in ignitor in the bulb. The front of the Xenon LIES to you. Anything after 03/2005 should be D1S. All 2004s are D2S. This is from my experience. The safest bet is to check the bulb itself.

a lot of you may not know. I DO sell error cancellers. They are $50 shipped for the pair. I think I sold only 2 sets though since NONE of my kits need the cancellers. I have sold them for people who purchased other kits by mistake and needed cancellers.

From now until the end of November Special!

Trying to push out some D1S and D2S stock. The prices are shipped prices and not installed price. Installed price remain at original price but will throw in free install.

D1S is $120 and D2S is $80

D1S is for 2005 and up e60
D2S is for 2003-2004 e60

Purchase with HID fogs, price is the following:

D1S with Foglights - $160+$120 = $280 ($30 combo discount) = $250 shipped!
D2S with Foglights - $160+$80 = $240 ($30 combo discount) = $210 shipped!

What type of bulbs are in 2006 525 halogen headlights? Is it H8 or H7? If so, will your kit work?

The low beams for a 2006 E60 are H7 bulbs. They work flawlessly and I installed on numerous halogen e60s. No error messages, no flickering, no need for error cancelling cables. DIY is here: https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=84571

Thanks

My HID kits do not need error cancelling cables, capacitors, etc. Ignitor and electronics are built as one unit. I also carry 30000K bulbs now. They are deep deep blue with a tad purple hue. Popular colors are 6000K and 8000K.

Some VERY useful HID information is here:

Hey! I'm new to this thread but I'm really interested in the 3000k fogs on my 07 550i. I think it'd be a little different. I have a friend with 3000k low's in his S2000 and they're pretty cool. Lots of light! I'm not really sure how they'd look as fogs on the 5. Do you have any more pics and what are your prices on them right now?
