...and if possible, can you provide a little explanation re: the advantages / disadvantages of linear rate springs (like these and most other aftermarket springs) versus OEM variable rate springs?

Do you need spacers on front wheels to clear the lower collar like KWs?

My Ride: F13 M6
we havent had any spacers installed because of fitment of new coilovers and havent seen any issue of the front wheels clearing the lower collar. if the customer has added spacers it was because of the wheel fitment according to offset.
