Sweet, if mine arrive tommorow I'll be doing the install tommorow. I just bought a 100watt soldering iron. Hopefully the wiring won't be too bad. Can I simply tap into the stock wires with a quick tap or whatever they call them?

Yes, simple tap into original wires. That's what I did for my testing. Good luck phil. I'm starting the project tonight, hopefully dont by tomorrow. I'm also doing something extra to the headlight.

Can't wait! Please let me know any pointers and pics if possible. Our headlights are gonna look so badass. Are you gonna do anything with the orange reflector at all?

Dammit, dont spoil my surprise!! LOL. But yea, i'm going to take the amber out, spray it silver and put on AKAlius's euro sticker on it. I'll try to take pics. but i'll be doing it tonight and all day tomorrow so wont post pics until after the finished result. PM me if you have any questions. The only helpful person is Nomis_nehc. He's been helping me throughout all my Q and A's. No one else has.

Why thanks for the mention buddy =)

If you have success taking out the amber, do let me know as well. I mean, frick, I might just take mine apart just to address that as well.

And + points for figuring out no resistor is needed. The installs I have done so far, for one reason or another, all have resistors in it already, so I just left them in there, lol.

Oh, and did you end up getting that solder tool you linked me to ebay? That one looked real good for doing this job.

Yup, that will do. A word of warning though, let it get hot enough so that it melt/cuts into the plastic easily. you don't want to be using too much force, as you might damage the gun itself.

Doing my first install, I actually broke a solder gun because I was applying so much force and had the metal point melt the gun itself. That did not smell good at all, lol.

Actually, I bought that for my other projects for the car. So I had that a while ago. Hopefully it'll be great.

And using a dremel to cut the headlight sounds like u'll be going through a lot of dremel heads. These headlights are tough man. I'm going to do the solder iron route tonight. lucky i have a really sharp point and adjustable temp one so i can put it full blast and melt away.
Thanks r9andy...I'm going to Umnitza tommorrow to pick my set up! I'll look into that solder iron you linked and use that for the cutting. I might just look into a diamond head for the dremel or something to...I'll let you know what I do. Let me know how the amber covering goes, I might have to do that as well!!! I'm not gonna attempt this till next weekend because i have prior engaements. Gives me more time to formulate a game plan.

You've been a big help. Thanks!!!
