Yes sir! I agree,...I just assumed that he guy with the black 2009 535xi (non-sport),...shown in the video has OEM #166 M5 wheels installed,....I figured if they worked on his car,...they should work on my car as well.

Am I figuring wrong?

So, I take it that you're replicas aren't 19" wheels!

All the same,...I picked up the M5 wheels on eBay for a very good price,....so, if I had to sell,...I could/would.

LOL! Yes I do! Hmm,,,,perhaps I should have looked for reps wheels,...after all, I installed a set of reps (20" X5 4.6is reps) on my previously owned e53 X5 3.0. They worked out well,...at least the second set did,...the first set got damaged during transport,...or were damaged before being shipped! The second set was perfect!

So,...what do you think about the video,...those wheels look to be 19's for sure.

Could be a Euro spec car. Did you notice the rear plate?

JMD535 06-18-2018 01:11 PM

Nope,...I didn't notice the Euro plate behind the "Missouri" plates. Also,..if it's per se' a "euro spec'd" car,...as in "grey market",....the original owner would have had to pay dearly to get it (the VIN) exported to the US,....as no insurance company would touch the car if the VIN wasn't a "Federalized" VIN,..that is,...comes with proper U.S. Spec;d crash reinforcements in the doors, etc.

Either way,....I do hear you,..which will prompt me to do a test fit with the current tires mounted (...they are e60 F/R tire sizes), so I expect issues to be present,...but I can at least gauge the offset!

A tip for the TPMS, I had great luck with tpms.com. Their prices are MUCH cheaper than any other vendor, and they carry the OE tpms, Schrader 20083 (rebadged HUF).

As for wheel fitment, the OE offsets are definitely off. You can of course get a replica set that is a good fit for your car (~35 offset). Measuring is the best way to find the right fit.

I personally run 245/40/19 in the front and 275/35/19 in the rear, as I'm in NY and it gives the wheels more cushion from bumps and potholes. No issues with AWD running this tire setup.

ABenlog,....thank you very much for your input,...especially on the tire size! Magic question,...are you running BMW OEM #166 or Replicas?

I never ran the OEM #166. I did run M6 replicas (not sure of OEM #). Those were around 35 offset and fit quite well.

I now run Forgestar F14s, but my offsets have changed in the rear due to installing the OEM M5 BBK.

Cool! I was considering going with M5 BBK,...but, I have a spare tire,...and I don't believe the 18's will fit if I upgrade the rotors to M5 size. I do plan to go with some Cross-Drill rotors for the look! Thx

18's can definitely clear the BBK, depending on the style.
