can 22" rims fit an 04 545i?

Hate to bring something up this old but there are no other resources. Local guy selling a set of 3piece 22s and I'm wondering if they will fit my sport package 545. 295/25/22 tires in back.... Is there any offset that will work without major rubbing or any fender rolling... Honestly buying these would cost me less than a new set of tires.

1ST OF ALL, IF YOU WANT 22'S, DO WHAT YOU FEEL BRO. IM DOIN IT TOO. I JUST GOT MY 530. PEOPLE HATED HATED ON ME WHEN I PUT 20'S ON MY 3 SERIES. BUT ALL I GET IS COMPLIMENTS. IF YOU DO 22'S THE BEYERN 22'S FIT THE BEST. 245/30/22 IS WHAT YOUR LOOKIN AT AS FAR AS TIRES.

I have had 19"-21" in 5 different sets, all high end wheels and I am sticking with 21s now. Its all upon what you want to do. I would stick to 19" if performance is the big issue and stick to 20" if you want a subtle look but 21" fills the wheel arches and proportions the car the best. I think ppl running 20" wheels with 25-series in the rear with 30 series on the front should just go for 21s as the tire size is the same. The biggest difference for 21" is the price. For wheels and tires the cost is much higher than almost any other wheel (other than the 30'+ big baller wheels lol)

My Ride: I HAVE A 2004 530I MOSTLY STOCK EXCEPT FOR 22IN ASANTI AF128 BLACK, I HAVE A 6 SPPED MANUAL TRANS. IT ALSO HAS DOOR CURTAINS WHICH I LIKE ALOT. NAVI. I HOPE TO CHANGE MY SEATS TO COMFORT SOON.
I have 22inch Asanti's on my 04 530i the ride has been diminished but most rims do that. I've had them on for about 5 years and if I ever get new rims they will be 20's becuz I've cracked one and dented another. My friend has 20s on his and the ride feels the same but he has more support for the rim with the bigger tires. My advice would be to go with 20's but it looks really good with 22's. If you want to stand out then 22s will do that. In SoCal almost everyone has an e60 so it makes mine stand out.

I know a good bit about the subject. It is generally true that a cast wheel of the same size will weigh more then the same wheel it it were forged. How much more depends on the type of casting, pour/gravity cast, pressure cast, spun-rim cast or other forms of casting. Most BMW wheels are made by BBS who manufactures some of the best wheels in the business using the most state of the art machinery and processes (read: strong and light for a cast wheel). A typical BBS made cast BMW 17" wheel will weight approximately 19-24 lbs. I have NEVER seen or heard of a 22" wheel (cast or forged) that weighed less then 30 lbs let alone in the low 20 lbs range. If you did weigh them you should have a recollection of the approximate weights. It is possible that your 22" rim weighs less then the stock 17" just as it is possible that I will win the powerball lottery next week. doubtful. Both doubtful.

Kind of a silly argument though because it is the rotational mass and inertia that will be WAY out of whack on the car. To say there is no degradation in the performance would be utterly comical. HOWEVER, it is NOT always performance that the individual cares about. It may be that APPEARANCE is what he wants. And I believe that with enough creativity it can be made to look nice. Even if not to the majority on here, then it is to the owner to whom it ultimately matters.
Still, 22's? REALLY?
