Great thread, guys.
I've got an E61 535xi so add me to the 3-4 other xi owners out there interested in purchasing aftermarket wheels...
I had a pair of M5 wheels that I'd been saving for the last 2 years since a family member purchased their M5 and we put HRE's on it. Needless to say I was deeply saddened the day I put the M5 wheels on my newly purchased 535xi only to find out that the wheels stick out 2" past the fender due to the offset of the xi
Plan now is to purchase 20x9's for the front and 20x10's for the rear. My current tire size plan is the following:
Front: 245 35 20
Rear: 285 30 20
This equates to:
Front Diameter: 26.80 Inches
Front Revolutions per Mile: 776
Rear Diameter: 26.80 Inches
Rear Revolutions per Mile: 776
So my question is: will a 285 fit in the rear of an E61. Once I figure that out, I'm ordering either iForged, ADV1's, or Vossen's. Given the price, it'll probably be the Vossen's.

Ordered Vossen VVS-CV3's today. 20x10.5 in the rear, 20x9 up front. ET30 up front ET42 in the rear. Hope that fits!
I did an M5 conversion to the front of the vehicle, so I should have some more room with the widened M5 fenders. Now we'll have to see if the 285's clear...
Here's the CV3's on a new 5. I'm in love!

My Ride: Car
KW v3 coilovers installed last week. Night and day compared to a drop with H&R springs and stock dampers. Cornering not as tight compared to my old H&R & Bilstein B8 setup, but I'll take that tradeoff any day to enjoy a comfortable ride, that I would say is even better than stock. I left both rebound and compression settings set in the middle for now and had the height adjusted to a 1-3/4" drop. Going with 255/40 & 285/35 tires, which will be installed in about 2 weeks.

My Ride: Platingrau Metallic 2009 535i xDrive
Sup xi Owners. You can add me to the list as well. I've got a 2009 535i xDrive. I wanted to add my setup to the thread.
I recently sold my 2006 330i E90 sedan that I had these on http://www.vortextuning.com/bmw/19-v...e-black-1.html
After researching on here and all over google I was glad to find out that these offsets and tire sizes would actually work. Based on this calculator here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=689741 , my staggered setup would yield a RPM difference of less than 1%. Which I read was pretty good. So I put them on last night, drove a bit and all seems well. Today I did some pretty aggressive driving in NORCAL on some backroads by Monte Rio. No rubbing and the handling was superb. I even have some room to drop it just a tad So my setup is
Front 19x8.5 et 35 235/35/19
Rear 19x9.5 et 33 265/30/19
I may switch out the rears to some 275/30/19 to get even less of a difference. But the look is great, and even nicer in person.
