this is cool.. been looking for something like this. now you say you can mount a et 30 and 32.. but at what width wheel (i.e. 8.5 9.5 ) i've been playing with this calulator and seems some 32 et wheels would not clear the strut. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12

Forgestar wheels have custom offsets. They'll make anything within their range of offsets and widths

9....count me in. I joined this group specifically to learn more about wheel options and proper wheel fitment. v_therussian & C's Bimmmer are the two members who have provided the most valuable info (esp. technical) on this topic.

Ron ///Man I believe drives an xi as well. That makes us 10!

Well Vlad, you seem to be the guardian angel for the Xi owners. Lots of sharp wheel choices out there.

No need to drop 3k, we can do better on the KW V3

KW V3's going price these days is about 2 grand. Give or take a hundred bucks. Plus shipping and install. It is still a huge sum of money, but in my case, for instance, I will need to replace the struts/shocks pretty soon either way. Ok, maybe not too soon, but I feel my suspension stiffening up already (61k miles on the clock). If you consider the cost of replacing with OEMs, KW V3s seem like a good deal with the adjustability and a lifetime warranty they offer.

Also, I have to make a correction: Calton's Xi actually had ET33 net offsets in the rear - he had ET45 wheels (I believe 9.5 inch wides) with 12mm spacers = ET33 offset.

And yes, Michael, ET30 front and ET33 rear is in fact aggressive. However, C reported no issues with rubbing.

Pics of C's old 530Xi:

Actually looks like there was still a little more space in the back there...
