Hey Guys,
I've been thinking about what to do with the site in anticipation of the upcoming F10. I had thought to create a seperate site and forum on F10.NET which I bought a year or two ago. I like that idea, however, I don't want to seperate the community so then I thought to use something like 5er.com or 5er.net. The person who owns 5er.com wants $6500 for the domain which isn't going to happen unless someone wants to make an abnormally large donation, LOL. The guy who owns 5er.net, actually a customer of mine ironically, doesn't want to sell it. Now, I don't know why I didn't think of this much earlier, but over lunch today I thought to use 5erforums.com and 5erforum.com which were available and I just registered them a little earlier. I don't know which one should be the main domain. We have e60forums.com aliased to forums.e60.net which brings in a ton of hits. I'm leaning towards 5erforums.com but what do you think?
What I'm thinking is to keep the main www.e60.net information site seperate and E60 specific. forums.e60.net would be forwarded to the new domain along with forums.f10.net. www.f10.net will be created and contain only F10 information. What I hope to do is make a complete 5 series forum so in addition to the E60 and F10, we can add new sections for the prior E39 5 series and all the other prior 5 series models as well.
What does everyone think?

I think putting all the 5 series models together in one domain with seperate forums for each generation is a great idea.

i like the idea of keeping everything together. i was actually thinking about that recently, what would happen once some members trade in for the F10. i guess this would solve that problem. as for the name, if the choices are btwn those 2 i would say 5erforums.com.

Is "5forums.com" available? I'd grab that one ... It's very 'clean & simple' / easy to remember.

Mark, I think your idea makes perfect sense. I voted for the plural version only because it sounds better.
