I go with you but not on the banning.
There is no point on any forum to baned some 1, Its just wast of time.
all they do is resign a new name and they are off again.
I have 5 accounts on this forum.
I have over 100 email accounts.
so that why itis wast of time.
just say if people don`t mess around in this forum itis OK
Stream and FastCarFan have not come back. I'd know if they had because of their styles and targets. And, you are right. It can be hard to keep someone off a forum, but an administration can do a lot to keep all but the most possessed off. And, I was not arguing whether anyone should or should not be banned. I am making the point that we have banned at least two even though most think that we have not banned anyone--a believe that was repeated above.

I would like to get back on the topic. The issue I think is that posts ought to be classified according to their content and not whether their topic titles are specified exactly right. The consensus here has aways been that performance posts, including straight-line, handling, braking, and whatever, are so important to so many that they have always appeared on the front page. In this regard, I don't think these posts get their due being on the front page sprinkled in with all sort of other things (e.g., RFT's, anti-trap errors, and squeaks and rattles). And, the direction the Competition forum has taken makes it a completely inappropriate place for 5-series performance (per se) and 5-series performance in comparison to that of other cars. I believe that the time has come for a new forum--the 5-Series Performance forum. I'd like to hear how others feel about this idea.

I concur. With the creation of the Performance forum it will alleviate some of the questionable movements of threads as of late. In addition, some of the threads that exist in the Competition forum can be correctly placed into the proper Performance forum. My previous post about the Competition forum being messy is a reality. I hope the Admins would be willing to consider such a forum. Thanks.

I think DON's trhead offended no body, it will nor encourage nor threaten away people from speeding, street racing and this does not lie in the responsibility of our Forums. I found that usefull and FUN to see and read what you do, learned a lot from "weather conditions etc etc,".

However ADMIN is indeed responsible for outside world to be sure here they see nothing which could be missunderstandable or offendable by anybody from private person to law enforcement.
BUT I did not yet saw under these years ADMIN to delete a thread or close out someone without a justifiable reason.

I think ZNOD if they do not see your point, very calm manner you have to point out what you intend to have there, then in cooperation with our ADMIN mates you can set some strict rules and then I am sure they will let that happen again

When I was new here I asked ADMIN if I may post one theme or subject always in the same thread, e.g. Iceman's fav FOGS , and they said no not always we can have as many posts as we want, then some "nice" came to say: repost (was not Iceman that time ) so that is life.

Sometimes I am offended, sometimes you, I remember the most funny and toughest one bwt 700 vs BMW these things happen and they fade out, both are here and kinda friends

Wish you the best and try to negotiate with admin they will listen, but we also have to respect they are DAMN busy with our Forums.

Still we are the ONLY one who has no banners, pop-ups, so for ADMIN I say BIGGG

Well, there are different ways in banning people.

You can ban someone so that he can't use any of his accounts nor create a new one...

I am confused. We are talking about Joe's thread and post. Regardless, how do you feel about having the sort of performance forum I discussed?

seem sensible to me, replacing "Performance" for "Main forum".
