In addition the registration process is slightly changed so we might see a drastic decline in spam (so I'm hoping).
I just looked at the security code confirmation (CAPTCHA) image on the registration page -- if the spambots can see through that, then I'm truly impressed! Hopefully, this improvement will stop the bots dead in their tracks...

Since I'm on the subject of spam, I'd like to ask the members here for some help in the ongoing battle to keep the boards spam-free. If you come across a post that is spam, please use the report feature and report it as spam. It amazes me how often I find spam messages that weren't reported but have two or three replies from people who are calling it spam or posting the smilie. It is my belief that the sooner the spam is removed, the less likely the human spammers will bother posting any on our forums. (If the board software upgrade has improved features that make it harder for the spambots to register and post, then it's likely that all we're left to fight is the humans, right?)

One more thing I just thought of -- if you report a post as spam (using the report button), it might be a good idea to add a post that simply says "reported" so that we don't get bombarded with multiple reports about the same thread!

Thank you all for helping us keep this place relatively spam-free!

Keep up the good work...one problem I have: Seems member profile pages aren't 100% compatible with FireFox 2x. Look great with IE but not in Firefox

Can we make this post (or at least the thread) part of the registration process? Or at least a sticky for a while?

Not to burden the place with rules, but this seems to make a lot of sense.

Lomag,
Busta is right. The new software is not playing nice with Firefox 2.0. I keep getting booted off when replying to threads.

Nice, I like the feel of this upgrade. It looks more "futuristic". Good job!
