Hello all,

I've spent the last couple hours upgrading the forums to the newest release of IPB, version 2.2. There's some minor changes here and there. A majority of the changes are internal which allow the forums to run more efficiently. In addition the registration process is slightly changed so we might see a drastic decline in spam (so I'm hoping). There's also some cosmetic improvements.

I'm in the process of upgrading the gallery but wanted to bring the board back online as quickly as possible. I'd love to hear your comments. Most notably IPB changed the way forum members profile pages are displayed, what do you think?
I like it
it looks much better & more pro looking now. Before it was very plain.
Keep up the good work

Okay, I found the "killer reason" for the upgrade -- if for no other new feature, the thing I like the most is that when you click on "view new posts," the icon next to the topics now shows that little thingy in the corner to indicate that you've posted in that thread! Yippee -- that's it for me!

I don't know the purpose of the ratings other than to let members judge each other. In the beginning the values will be quite meaningless but once say 10+ members give a single member a rating that rating might have some value to people. I don't know... it's cool, perhaps. There's an option to disable the rating's but I'll leave them on for now.

I'm not a big fan of this quick access box. It's my intention to remove it completely and expand the emoticon/smiley box back to the way it was before.

Thanks Mark!

About the ratings, I think vegastrashed answered my question. At first, I didn't think anyone was actually rating anyone else so I was confused as to why it seemed like random people had all 5 stars and others had none. After vegas said he was messing around with it, I realize what happened...

I don't think anyone really cares about the rating, I mean everyone here are all friends and good people!

The new look is great! Looks really updated and modern now, feels like CIP 23 a whole new look.... to Lomag and Das, and our moderators, Ice and Rudy for everything here!! Also a big to all our members...
