Probably because people keep buying the wrong ones (or at least I did haha). I went through 2 steering wheels in order to find one that fits my pre 9/05... then the airbag match-up was a PITA too.
I've learned more than I wanted to know about steering wheels! Thanks for all the info. I had to yell at some guys for selling me the wrong airbag, then telling me they were going to send me 'the right one' only to find out they dont have the pre 9/05 round airbag!! BAvarian auto recyclers sux. I ended up buyng a post 9/05 off of ebay and will mod the wiring harness and get the post 9/05 plate. So it'll be 3 weeks and counting to get my new M-sport wheel installed.
So someone please buy this Sport steering wheel!
