Hi, I need advice on the sport steering wheel, I don' know whether to order it or not The interior wil be beige with poplar wood. I'm not sure if it will fit. Has anybody seen it live? I've seen a couple of pictures but they are too grey, no big help from them. Thanks in advance.

I have not seen the sport steering wheel my self, but I have seen the wood trims. I really recommend you to take the black maple wood instead. The poplar looks very plastic, but BMW says it is in real wood. The maple trim also has a sportier feeling that fits your sport steering wheel. So my advise to you is to take the sport steering wheel together with maple wood trim, and if you have noticed all published photos of the new BMW 6-series have the sport steering wheel even with beige interior.

There will still be a couple of Titaniam II pieces of Trim even with the beige interior. I reckon the sports wheel will still look OK.

Right, but it will fit the titanium on the doors (until 4th quarter 2003), handles and gear stick etc.

By comparing the pictures it seems that it is possible to choose with or without titanium on the steering wheel on the 6-series. Maybe it is possible on 5-series as well?

it seems, after checking the pictures, that the material on the steering wheel is the same sort as the other panel materials in the car....

I'm afraid it's not possible, at least the brochure doesn't say anything about. It's a pity, because the most important reason I'm not sure about this wheel is the titanium, I think these pieces don't fit with the poplar wood (sorry, I like it better than the maple, I've seen them both again).
Thanks to all, I think I'll keep the standard one, bye.
