I appreciate all the feedback from the member of this forum. As I said before, I have received valuable information from folks on this forum and others that have helped in my own modding experiences with my M5. When I made the comment about not rubbing in normal conditions it was only after doing a google search and seeing other posts that had indicated that it may or may not be a problem. I could not say for sure which is why I presented the fender roll option.
In any case I think all of you make good points about selling the wheels and tires separately for Non M owners who may want the wheels an would want to go with thinner tires. That being said I am open to anybody who wants to purchase just the wheels or just the tires. Send me a PM if you want one or the other, or even both.
Eurocarfan, thanks for the help as always, look forward to seeing you at the next meet!
Praisethelowered, sorry we got off on the wrong foot, I appreciate your concern and would agree that it is probably a best practice for somebody with a non M car to go with a different set of tires.
Thanks Guys

the only issue was when a reg e60 owner inquired about it he said they would work, and that MAYBE he would need to fender rolll
when asked again he said that it would be fine under normal driving conditions, excluding bumps etc
thats a bit misleading for a non M owner who doesnt know any better IMHO

Thanks for speaking up. Some members here do not understand wheels, tire sizes, offset, etc. A newbie might have made this purchase and then been frustrated. That would have been a very very expensive headache for anyone.
Your idea about protecting others is highly appreciated. Many of us have spoken up when "for sale" items seem to be ambiguous. (I too wondered about the veracity of the OP and his wheels/tires. Once I spot an ambiguous remark, then I wonder about the seller and the product.
To the op: Thanks for your eventual clarification. Perhaps a good way to understand what we just experienced is to reverse positions. You pretend you are a buyer, and someone else will be the seller. You just might see where some of us are coming from.

That situation was resolved too easily.
We all need to do a search here to identify how we can start some real trouble!! lol
I will keep you posted when I find a few theads or posts where we can really beat someone up (verbally, of course). lol
