Thats incorrect. when i had my M-ask HU the desion would display the text.

Got it and installed it yesterday, lol much more complicated then my BMW Ipod kit was but well worth it for all the connectivity options. already installed the BTA-1000 unit as well! nothing better then streaming pandora wirelessly from my cell phone! good stuff!
