I'm interested but curious about whats required for install.
I have a pre-lci mirror with the manual dimming switch.
Did your car come with the auto dimming mirror or did you retrofit it?
thanks

From what I understand with just auto dim you don't have to run any extra wiring, I know I've read on here that some people who have switched to mirrors with compass etc. have had to run a new wire harness that is available oem.

It'll need additional retrofit wiring for basic mirror ... I think OEM accessories catalog also mentioned it.
The basic mirror only has 2 wires for the alarm blinking LED while the auto-dim mirror will need another 2 "+" & "-" to power other additional feature(s) such that auto-dim itself, Homelink remote and/or digital compass (at least) ... that's why you already set and no different when upgrading to the one w/ compass 'cuz all it needs is power lead.
