I also have an '04 545i. My iDrive shows the option for Aux Input but I do not have the cable installed. So I can just buy the cable, install it myself and it'll work? No coding?

Thank you sir! Going to be placing my order today! I contacted BMW of Annapolis and was quoted $470 for the Aux install. This just made my day!
Now I have to figure out the best place to mount the plug. Because it's only the Aux cable, I'm guessing it does not display any info on the iDrive screen and I probably will not be able to control it with my steering wheel correct?

Just purchased this from you on ebay last week. Received it a day early. Hopefully get it installed tomorrow. Anyone know of someone that does coding in the DFW area? Thanks!!

Just received my cable but it did not come with instructions. The ebay listing said it was supposed to come with instructions. I have everything apart, I just need to know which pin plugs into which slot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
