Yeah, but I think you will find very few people on here that bought a 535d for the economy. I know I didn't.
As for the sound of the diesel, this is my first and I really don't have a problem with the sound of the 535d. It's no V8, but it also doesn't sound like other diesels I've heard. I have not had one passegner ask me if it is diesel. That speaks for itself.
