I sent a very similar email to BMW UK and BMW AG yesterday.

Come on E60.net community, get emailing the more owners that raise this question the better. You never know we might actually get a reasonable answer or miracle of miracles a decent outcome, even if the outcome is a recall.

BMW are not unfamiliar with issuing major recalls, as i write they are still going through a major recall for possible engine failure for the E46 M3. Many owners have had this major work carried out in the UK so if BMW can do that for the M3 they can certainly make adjustments to our E60s especially as this is a BIG safety issue.

I would love to send an e-mail to BMW netherlands to adress my concern but I cannot find their e-mail adres (only a phonenumber).

I'll try to call them tomorrow to ask them what the deal is with the safety of my car..

I called and emailed BMW several times about this... No answer...
I am seriously thinking about a lawsuit against them and returning the car for a new one.
