Well, that certainly answers my questions. I'm picking up my 5er on May 15 in Munich, and will not be able to get the 6FL installed. I was hoping for a dealer installation sometime after re-delivery. I have had the Interface since last June and it is great. The new iPod/USB option is better but that is only available from the factory.
WAIT - I just reread your dates - your car hasn?t been built yet if you are picking up on 15. May in Freimann. Can?t you add it to the order.

My Blackberry phone has a USB interface that I often use with my laptop to charge the phone. Do you think that I could use this USB port to charge the phone as well?

I?m not sure myself and no one I asked at BMW knew either. This may be a wait and see.

1. Speed: better or same as in CD interface?
2. You mentioned FAT - is it DOS FAT16? How's about Mac formatted iPods?
3. Which languages are supported for song titles? Still English only?
4. Is 255 titles limit still present or is it gone?
5. Formats: are lossless WMA and AAC supported?
