Same here!
After some hesitation, caused by the supposed placement in the back of the armrest, I took the plunge and added the USB option in the last minute...I really wanted it but I could see my kids kicking my USB sticks to pieces...Now I'm happy again
Thanks for the info.
You're welcome. I am glad my article made it to the Nordic region.

For the best iPod functionality, you'll need the special cable that BMW sells. The cable is included in the cost of the option in the USA but I'm not sure about Finland...

Are you sure 6FL USB option is not retrofittable (into an LCI car)? I know that article says it isn't available as a retrofit. However, I can find USB/audio interface here. Parts are listed for cars from 03/07, thus fitting to LCI cars only.
Think it would be possible to get USB working with these parts + coding USB option to car at the dealer?

I'm just wondering whether to retrofit this USB option OR buy ipod MOST interface kit.. but really would like to get USB option since it's better.

I'll let Jonathan chime in on the intent behind what he wrote but my guess is that he meant it wasn't available as a retrofit to a pre-LCI car. Not sure if it's available as a retrofit to an LCI car but I'd say it's much more likely than that of a pre-LCI car...

best bet would be to contact your local dealer. Previous threads have quoted between $400-600. Try running a search under "USB retrofit" or "IPOD retrofit" there a many threads about it. Good luck...
