Here the 3.0 286 BHP version is available, and the standaard is the 235 BHP Engine (2007).

Indeed a new V8 diesel would be nice.
Where's 'here'?

LOL I'm so messed up now. Which is talking about which and about what, and where?

I posted here because i also will look into the new X5 probably in Febrary or March.I really like the looks but i would take it only fully loaded. In whatever case what would you choose from the current engines? Cuz i saw there are only 3 available at the moment: 3.0D, 3.0si, and 4.8i (identical as the 550i engine i assume). What would you do? Choose now, but if it has to be loaded will you go nuts and get the 4.8i engine or satisfy with the lower engines OR you would wait a bit more till things clear up and maybe new engines emerge (like the 4+ liter diesel?! or maybe even more?). What would you do?

I guess you're right. It is the X3 3.0sd. Only strange thing is that the dealer told me that the engined where renewed (including mine in order), but if I go to the BMW site, I don't see anything changed.

there will be an IS model 100percent sure. What it will be labeled is not known but you can expect around 415bhp.. Debuts in autumn 2007..
