Will the M3 be faster than the M5?

C'mon, the 5 is going to walk the 3 from legal speed limits on up.

There's no getting around it, HP vs. aerodynamics. Buzzed out, foot in the throttle at 120, weight really isn't an issue.
Damn, how I wish this was true.

Some of us have traded in their E60's for an E90.

How's about trading in my 545i for the New M3 with a V8 (sedan?)

I dont think so. See M5 vs M6. I guess anything with less series number should be slower (for the M)...just for the sake of "money" justice.

I don't think so. Mercedes C and E class are known as a smaller, cheaper S class. However, the same logic does not prevail with BMW. They are different cars, with different missions.

How did the previous M3 compare to the previous M5? That will probably answer your question.

I've thought of this as well.
As an owner of both an e46 and e60, I'm always reminded of how small (tight) the cabin of the 3-series feels everytime I drive it.
Needless to say, the specs on the upcoming e90 M3 will be difficult for me to ignore (assuming BMW gives her some good numbers under the hood).
